Nobel Laureates speak about their sources of inspiration
That magical phone call. Two Nobel Laureates discuss inspiration and their own paths to a Nobel Prize.
What does it feel like to receive that phone call? To hear someone on the other end say their name and congratulate you for having been awarded the Nobel Prize. It must be a magical moment.
You are invited to come meet two Nobel Laureates on Saturday 7 October between 1.30 and 3.00 pm, where you will find out what it is like to receive that call. Ben Feringa (Chemistry Laureate 2016) and Shirin Ebadi (Peace Prize Laureate 2003) will be visiting the Nobel Museum to discuss inspiration and their own paths to the Nobel Prize. Mattias Fyrenius, CEO of Nobel Media, will also help us gain a sense of how people around the world reacted to the announcements of the new Nobel Laureates.
We will conclude by raising a toast for the progress of humanity and then see where our conversations take us over a glass of bubbly and a snack.
